Effexor ®
Effexor is used in the treatment of depression
and anxiety. Effexor® has been proven to help more people
achieve a virtual elimination of their symptoms.
Effexor Uses:
Effexor is used to treat depression.
How To Take Effexor :
Take Effexor medication by mouth exactly as prescribed. During the
first few days your doctor may gradually increase your dose to allow
your body to adjust to the medication. Take Effexor with food. Do
not take Effexor more often or increase your dose without consulting
your doctor. Your condition will not improve any faster but the
risk of serious side effects will be increased. Do not stop taking
Effexor suddenly without your doctor's approval. Your dose may need
to be gradually reduced to prevent adverse effects.
Effexor Possible Side Effects:
Every medicine can cause side effects, but many people have no,
or minor, side effects. Tell your doctor or pharmacist if any of
the following occurs: Seizure. Nausea; drowsiness; dizziness. Chest
pain; fast heartbeat; itching; decreased sex drive; agitation;confusion;
abnormal thinking; personality changes; depression; impaired urination;twitching;
menstrual disorder; impotence; headache; dry mouth; sleeplessness;constipation;
nervousness; weakness; sweating; abnormal ejaculation/orgasm;appetite/weight
loss; diarrhea; anxiety; blurred vision; vomiting; shakiness;abnormal
dreams; chills; sore throat; indigestion; gas; muscle stiffness;abnormal
skin sensations; mood changes; flushing; rash; yawn; taste change;ringing
in the ears.
Effexor Precautions:
Every medicine can cause side effects, but many people have no,

Effexor Interaction:
Tell your doctor of any over-the-counter or prescription medication
you may take especially: MAO inhibitors (e.g., tranylcypromine,
phenelzine, isocarboxazid, selegiline, furazolidone), other antidepressants,
cimetidine, lithium, sedatives, narcotic pain relievers (e.g., codeine,
morphine), seizure medication, certain migraine medicine (e.g.,
sumatriptan), medicine for weight control. It is recommended to
avoid alcohol while using Effexor. Do not start or stop any medicine
without doctor or pharmacist approval.
Missed Dose:
If a dose is missed, take it as soon as possible. If several hours
have passed or if it is nearing time for the next dose, do not double
the dose to catch up, unless advised by your doctor. If more than
one dose is missed, contact your doctor or pharmacist.
Effexor Storage:
Store EFFEXOR-XR at room temperature between 59 and 86 degrees
F (between 15 and 30 degrees C) away from heat and light. Do not
store in the bathroom. Keep Effexor out of the reach of children.
